Job Description

The Health, Safety, and Quality (HSQ) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing organizational health, safety, and quality management programs. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, fosters a safe working environment, and promotes continual improvement in quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with senior colleagues to ensure the business complies with industry quality standards and customer specifications.
  2. Manage the Health, Safety & Quality systems across the manufacturing site, while promoting group level processes & procedures.
  3. Work closely with other leadership departmental managers to drive & lead HSQ strategies.
  4. Develop and implement safety improvement plans for site, covering legal compliance, new H&S policies, environmental impact, staff engagement, training, and best practice.
  5. Conduct risk assessments, H&S audits, and create machine safety procedures through COSHH, working with third parties.
  6. Prepare specialized documentation and liaise with external organizations and authorities on all relevant matters.
  7. Manage and enhance quality management systems, ensuring products meet customer requirements and legal standards.
  8. Ensure compliance with ISO9001.

Key Requirements

  1. Be NEBOSH qualified or have equivalent experience.
  2. Proven experience in a similar Health, Safety and Quality Manager role.
  3. Previous experience of Risk Assessments including COSHH.
  4. Experience leading site procedural and operational audits.
  5. Previous experience developing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures.
