Optometrist - Clinical Excellence and Commercial Awareness

Location: Southfields, London (with occasional cover for other locations)
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and clinically skilled Optometrist to join our dedicated team at Inspired Selections. As an Optometrist at our practice, you will be based primarily at the Southfields location but will be required to provide cover across other branches within our group when needed.
About the Role:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including pre-screening when necessary, with 40-minute testing times.
- Utilise OCT as a standard part of the examination process.
- Perform examinations using a phoropter and maintain accurate computer-based records.
- Assist with front-of-house duties during busy periods, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
- Maintain a balance between clinical excellence and commercial awareness, contributing to the success of the practice.
- Participate in the bonus scheme, where 10% of second-pair sales are shared monthly with front-of-house staff based on clinic participation.
Requirements:
- Must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points.
- Newly qualified Optometrists up to a maximum of 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical skills paired with an understanding of the commercial aspects of optometry.
- Comfortable using a phoropter and managing computer-based patient records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional approach to patient care.
- Flexibility to cover other locations within the group as needed.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, adjusted based on experience.
- 33 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
- Bonus scheme: 10% of second-pair sales shared with front-of-house staff.
- Entitlement to one pair of glasses per year, plus a 50% friends and family discount.
