Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Community Paediatrics team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality psychological services to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, coordinate, and ensure the systematic provision of a diagnostic service for ASD
- Lead and develop the formation of a new pathway for ASD, training, service development, audit, and service evaluation
- Work alongside the Team Manager, Service Manager - Specialist Children Services, and Clinical Director to develop informed care pathways
- Offer individual assessment, formulation, and brief intervention to a wide range of children and young people
- Link up with other services and offer effective signposting to enhance the children's and young people's journey
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with:
- Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration
- Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent), OR a combination of specialist short courses, or an evidenced portfolio of supervised practice-based learning in a specialist area of clinical practice, assessed by an experienced clinical supervisor to be of equal level to a Postgraduate Diploma
- Evidence of having worked as a clinical specialist under supervision in Children's Services
- Experience of proposing and implementing service development projects within own service area
- Experience of supervising assistant and trainee psychologists having completed the relevant training

- Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care
- Experience of working with children and adolescents with ASD/ADHD traits
- ADIR/ADOS training
