Job Description

We're currently recruiting for a Project Director to join our Data Centre team. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on strategic commissions and high-profile projects, working with a market-leading client base.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale and complex data centre projects in the real estate sector, from feasibility to completion.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, plans, and budgets for complex construction projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective processes and systems throughout the project.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and performance indicators.
  • Manage and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Prepare and deliver written project communication materials.
  • Prepare and present formal project progress reports.
  • Manage and coordinate client, contractors, and designers.
  • Attend and chair meetings, drafting minutes as needed.
  • Other responsibilities include developing and delivering presentation materials for client pitches, managing and updating key information in the Turner & Townsend internal database, and providing thought leadership on the latest trends and innovations in the Data Centre real estate sector.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years' experience in project management or construction management.
  • Relevant qualification, such as a chartered institute membership (RICS/CIOB).
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry and Data Centre sector themes.
  • Good knowledge of the project lifecycle and business case approvals process.
  • Track record of delivering hyperscale Data Centre projects from inception to completion.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in large-scale Data Centre projects in the real estate sector.
  • Experience in master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation.
  • Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles at all levels.
