Job Description

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of an effective outreach strategy to deliver the Trust's 10-year organisational strategy. This will involve working closely with the fundraising team to generate income to fund the sustainable growth of outreach activities across the UK.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive outreach strategy to achieve the organisational strategy's ambitions, especially Aim 2: inspiring people and organisations to champion and take action for bumblebees.
  • Work with staff across departments to deliver outreach activities, ensuring a cohesive and sustainable approach.
  • Lead on securing income to deliver the outreach strategy, collaborating with the fundraising team.
  • Line manage the Outreach and Volunteering Manager and oversee the development and implementation of a Volunteering Plan that recognises the value of volunteers and promotes diversity.
  • Develop and implement robust safeguarding procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of leading and inspiring staff and volunteers in person and remotely.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with experience in budget preparation and management.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach and volunteering activities, including measuring social and wellbeing impacts and behaviour change.
  • IT literate, with experience using project management software, web applications, and donor and supporter contact management systems.
  • Working knowledge of donor and supporter contact management, including use of a CRM or donor database.
