Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in South Kent. As a senior medical lead, you will be responsible for providing expert medical support and guidance to the team, working directly with children and young people, and their families, and liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
- Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
- Participate in the on-call rota with a 3% on-call supplement
- Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member
Requirements
- CCT or equivalent
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
- Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
