Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist to join our team in South Kent. As a key member of the CAMHS Community Team, you will provide senior medical support and guidance to the multidisciplinary teams caring for children and young people with mental health needs across Folkestone and Dover.

As a consultant psychiatrist, you will be responsible for working directly with young people and their families, liaising with external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals as needed. You will also participate in the on-call rota, receiving a Category A on-call supplement of 3% of your basic salary.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior medical leadership and support to the CAMHS team
  • Work directly with young people and their families, and liaise with external services as required
  • Participate in the on-call rota, with a Category A on-call supplement


Requirements:
  • CCT or equivalent qualification
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it, and inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
  • Extensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based management interventions
