The Opportunity

The Frontier Technologies Hub, a program managed by R4D, seeks a consultant to conduct formative and market research to inform the design of its next phase. This research will help identify key propositions to be considered or tested with external stakeholders, such as the Helpdesk and Futures methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore the problem and opportunity space where the FT Hub operates, seeking out value statements and propositions of the Hub.
  • Provide a market analysis of the tech, innovation, and international development sector.
  • Gather and analyze insights from key stakeholders in the ecosystem, including IDIA members and FCDO, to test demand for FT Hub collaborative initiatives.
Deliverables and Timeline

The consultant will submit regular progress updates and a final report within three months. The timeline includes two progress presentations/workshops, a draft report submission, and a final presentation/workshop.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in international development or humanitarian sectors, with 5-7+ years working in tech and innovation. They should have significant experience producing market analysis and formative research reports for key sectors in international development.

Salary

$120,000 per year, based on the location and requirements of the position.
