Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the entire housekeeping operation and lead a team of housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas of the care home are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that all areas of the care home are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Train and evaluate new employees to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
  • Inspect residents' rooms and common areas to ensure that they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Handle complaints and requests from residents and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the health and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Serve as liaison between the housekeeping department and other key departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage budget for housekeeping operations and maintain records of expenses.
  • Communicate regularly with management and attend meetings as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and maintain records of expenses.
