Job Description

The role of a sports coach at this SEN provision in Rossendale is to engage and develop pupils' enjoyment of physical activity and development.

A relevant sport qualification and experience working with pupils aged between 5-11 years are essential. First aid training is desirable. The successful candidate will ensure a professional but engaging learning environment throughout, following all health and safety procedures and behavioural policies set by the school.

Working full-time, Monday – Friday between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm, you will work on building meaningful relationships with all pupils to create a respectful and safe environment for all. This includes staff and pupils, engaging in all activities as part of school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sports coaching sessions to pupils aged 5-11 years
  • Support pupils with additional needs in physical activities
  • Maintain a professional and engaging learning environment

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Teaching Personnel is a specialist education recruitment agency, working in partnership with schools to find the best candidates for their teaching and support staff roles.
