Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and caring Primary and Secondary SEN Assistant to join our team in a mixed SEN school based in Rawtenstall.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will assist students with special educational needs in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. This will involve providing tailored support during lessons, ensuring students understand tasks and adapting activities to meet their specific learning requirements.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students with personal care needs, such as feeding, toileting, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety while promoting independence where possible.
- Help create an inclusive classroom environment by encouraging participation, fostering social skills, and supporting emotional well-being, ensuring that all students feel valued and included.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with complex needs.
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification or experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to manage the demands of the role.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of £12.33 per hour, plus a range of benefits including:
