Job Summary:

This Print Assistant role is a key position within the Press/Print Room/Department at Image Data Group Limited, a leading marketing communications company. As a Print Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Printers in ensuring safe and effective practices at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist Printers during set-up, running, clean downs, and housekeeping to maintain presses at optimum condition.
  • Load relevant substrates to the print equipment, ensuring attention to detail.
  • Keep machines running in the absence of the Printer to enable continuation of production.
  • Carry out assigned activities within agreed timescales.
  • Work in a cost-efficient manner to maximize production and minimize wastage of materials.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Methodical and adaptable approach to set tasks.
  • Production input and output from machines cleared quickly and effectively.
  • General cleanliness and tidiness of all areas.

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand written Works Instructions with reference to key tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with an ability to work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
  • Willing aptitude to develop new skills.
  • Effective team member.
  • Flexible and able to work within tight deadlines and to changing priorities.
  • Helpful and co-operative attitude.
