Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Safety Engineering Solutions Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh, UK. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced System Safety Engineer or Systems Engineer looking to broaden their safety expertise.

About the Role:

  • We require an individual with experience in safety analysis of complex systems in a safety-critical industry, as well as exposure across multiple engineering lifecycle phases.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of standards such as ARP4754B, ARP4761A, RTCA DO-254, or DO-178C and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, promoting and improving safety culture, while championing a safety-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough safety analyses using techniques like functional failure analyses and fault tree analysis to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate safety requirements to meet customer and regulatory targets, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Develop and present detailed safety reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate safety considerations into system design and development.
