Job Summary

As a Conservation Operations Manager at Environment Platform Wales, you will play a crucial role in preserving our natural heritage and providing a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors. With a focus on operational efficiency and excellence, you will lead our team to deliver exceptional results while upholding the highest standards of conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve our open spaces to ensure they remain award-winning and safe for visitors.
  • Manage and oversee the operation of machinery and tools, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for visitor engagement and conservation initiatives.

We offer a competitive salary of £33,630, including Inner London Weighting, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes 24 days annual leave plus public holidays, a pension scheme operated in accordance with Local Government Pension Scheme, and employee assistance programmes including mental well-being support.

Requirements

To succeed as our Conservation Operations Manager, you will need:

  • A full clean driving licence and a good understanding of Health & Safety within a work environment.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced open spaces environment and the ability to operate machinery and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to follow company policies and procedures, and provide accurate updates to your line manager both written and verbal.
