Electrical Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Mane Contract Services, a well-established M&E contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting projects across the UK, with a strong background in electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and manage all phases of a project, from pre-construction to commissioning, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  2. Direct and coordinate operational staff, including the planning and organization of on-site labor and subcontractors, to achieve project goals.
  3. Manage the procurement of necessary equipment, materials, and logistics, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  4. Handle project administration tasks, including NEC contract processes, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  5. Produce and review health, safety, and environmental documentation and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  6. Compile and manage quality assurance documentation, including site reports and inspection records.
  7. Update key construction documents, ensuring coordination with project teams, including programmes and working drawings.
  8. Assist the commercial and quantity surveying team with account administration and notifications, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  9. Organize and manage electronic filing and site documentation, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
  10. Attend and participate in meetings with internal teams and external clients, both on-site and at client premises, to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  11. Administer and manage subcontractors on-site, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  12. Provide training and support to assist in employee development and progression, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
Requirements:
  1. Strong understanding of electrical systems, with an electrical-specific qualification preferred.
  2. Relevant management qualification, such as a degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  3. Electrical installation or engineering experience/qualifications, with a strong background in electrical systems.
  4. Full UK driving license, with a willingness to travel across the country for various projects.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  6. Good time management, with the flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
  7. Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and CDM regulations, with a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.
