Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our team at NHS Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and management in the field of old age psychiatry.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to older adults with mental health issues.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance professional development.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practice.
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
  • Equivalent training for non-UK applicants.
What We Offer
  • A full-time post on a 10 PA basis with opportunities for flexible working.
  • Up to 2 EPA's available for additional outpatient and/or procedure sessions or management activity.
  • Additional Non DCC (up to 2 PA's in total) for supporting professional activities and service needs.
  • Minimum of 1 Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) including CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning, and management meetings.
