Old Age Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant in Older Adult Psychiatry to join our team at NHS Scotland.
About the Role:
This is a full-time post (10 sessions) with the opportunity to discuss up to 2 EPA's to undertake additional outpatient and/or procedure sessions or management activity.
The post is based in the North West Division, part of Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and involves working with a well-established Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (OACMHT) at The Woodlands Resource Centre, Kirkintilloch Glasgow.
About the Team:
The OACMHT has a strong reputation for providing high-quality care to older adults with mental health problems. The team is led by experienced consultants and includes a range of professionals, including CPNs, nurse team leads, care home liaison nurses, occupational therapists, and clinical psychologists.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will work as part of the OACMHT, offering outpatient, inpatient, and domiciliary assessment of older people with mental health problems. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative way with other professionals and agencies.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will have full GMC Registration, a license to practise, and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. They will also have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
