Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children in a classroom environment, assisting with their learning and development.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher and other professionals to enhance children's learning and well-being.
  • Assist with classroom management and use good behaviour management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support children with additional needs, including those with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Communicate with families and carers to provide feedback about children's progress and development.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), or Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and skills.
