Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children in a classroom setting, including those with additional needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and use good behaviour management strategies.
  • Deliver small intervention groups and Phonics sessions.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher and other professionals to enhance children's learning.
  • Communicate with families/carers to provide feedback about children.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Excellent Safeguarding knowledge.
