Job Title: Part-Time Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Accrington. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping our Reception pupils achieve their full potential.

About the Role:
  • Hours: Part-time 8:30am – 12:30pm (Monday - Friday)
  • Pay: £13.50 per hour
  • Location: Accrington

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide support and guidance to our students. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students, including phonics sessions and interventions
  • Assisting with classroom activities and lesson preparations
  • Supporting students with additional needs to promote inclusion
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Relevant experience working with children, within a school setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding practices
