Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Case Officer with PFA experience to join our team as a Special Education Needs Support Specialist.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Local Authority's case load of individuals aged 16-25 and contribute to delivering high-quality services for children and young people with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Annual Reviews, including completing statutory assessment processes and EHC case work, to ensure that individuals receive the best possible support.
  • Manage an associated caseload and promote equality of opportunity for all children and young people.
  • Maintain effective communication links with parents, other services, and agencies to ensure seamless delivery of support.
  • Draft, write, and amend EHCPs as required to meet individual needs.
Requirements
  • PFA SEN Case Officer experience is essential for this role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of legislation related to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Familiarity with the Education system from 16 – 25 years and comfort when communicating with individuals within this age range.
  • Practical experience in a relevant field, including working with parents, families, and education providers.

The estimated salary for this position is £27,000 per annum (based on a 37-hour week) or £270 per day (Via Umbrella), which reflects the skills and expertise required for this role. Located in London, the post involves working locally with some travel required.
