Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Equipment Management Specialist. As an Asset Database Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical equipment management program.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for end-users and maintenance providers to coordinate scheduled equipment servicing and ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor and record equipment service history, updating maintenance records on our Trust asset register to facilitate a contract management program.
  • Interpret technical information from medical device service records, seeking advice from the Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) as needed.
  • Monitor provider performance to ensure contractors fulfill their contractual responsibilities.
  • Understand contract terms and conditions to interpret the scope of contract coverage and determine if repair costs are covered.
  • Participate in equipment audits to verify the medical device asset inventory.
  • Support medical device service and maintenance contracts, ensuring agreements reflect the Trust's requirements.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree/NVQ Level 6 in a relevant subject, or extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in equipment maintenance and support.
  • Experience with equipment management information systems and databases.
  • Experience coordinating medical equipment maintenance activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience monitoring equipment maintenance providers.
Skills and Competencies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet use.
  • Able to negotiate technical and commercial issues.
