Job Opportunity: Charge Nurse - Urology

The Urology ward at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is a 28-bedded area providing in-patient services for patients undergoing various types of Urology surgery and treatment, including major cancer work. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for and support the Senior Charge Nurse in managing the ward/department budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Maintain and develop standards of practice, working closely with our Practice Development Nurse to deliver safe, effective, patient-centred care.

As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for contributing to the management of the ward, ensuring that standards of practice are maintained and developed. You will work closely with the Senior Charge Nurse and other members of the team to achieve this goal.

We are looking for a candidate with NMC registration and evidence of continuous professional development. You should have a strong understanding of Urology nursing and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
