Recoveries & Collections Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a passion for client care and financial compliance to join our dynamic Finance team as a Recoveries & Collections Officer.

About the Role

This role involves managing and collecting outstanding debts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and maintaining excellent client relationships.

You will efficiently manage a caseload of claims, ensuring the timely and accurate collection of damages, costs, and disbursements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough file reviews to allocate funds appropriately to clients, suppliers, and firm costs
  • Achieving business-set KPIs and contributing to team targets for cash collection and settlements
  • Maintaining compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules, GDPR/DPA regulations, and internal policies
  • Communicating effectively with clients, insurance companies, and suppliers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
About You

We are looking for a proactive team player with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

Key requirements include:

  • Understanding of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and GDPR/DPA
  • Experience in customer service, with a preference for backgrounds in personal injury claims or similar environments
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail
  • High standards of client confidentiality and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment, knowing when to seek additional guidance
