Job Title: HR Business Partner

Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance services to local authorities, social housing providers, and their residents. We are currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR team in Slough.

Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner will act as an internal trusted advisor and business partner to senior stakeholders and employees, supporting the effective HR delivery for the complete employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will manage and lead the HR team, developing skills, confidence, and capability. They will also collaborate with the wider HR Team to provide a consistent and best-in-class HR service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and lead the HR team, developing skills, confidence, and capability.
  2. Collaborate with the wider HR Team to provide a consistent and best-in-class HR service.
  3. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making related to our people.
  4. Serve as a point of contact for all HR-related activity, working closely with our leaders and managers to be the voice of our people.
  5. Address escalated employee matters, ensuring a fair and consistent application of our policies.
  6. Assist in the planning and implementation of organisational changes, including restructures, acquisitions, new business, and process improvements.
  7. Assist with the implementation of our new HR system, driving the local actions and plans, including the effective transition of legacy information and data.
  8. Manage the HR team that consists of a HR Advisor and a HR Administrator.
  9. Ensure the consistent application and interpretation of company policies, processes, and compliance.
  10. Provide recommendations for policy updates and improvements based on organisational needs and best practice.
  11. Analyse HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improving employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  12. Utilise data to drive continuous improvement and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  13. Support engagement activities to promote a positive place to work in line with our values.
  14. Be a local ambassador for the function and a role model to the team and others.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in an HR operational role in a fast-paced changing environment.
  2. CIPD level 5 or equivalent.
  3. Sound knowledge of employee relations, legislation, and HR best practice.
  4. Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organisational objectives.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  7. Proficiency in HR software and systems, with the ability to analyse data and generate reports.
