Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead our Transmission & Distribution projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical input and support during project planning, development, and design stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input and support during project planning, development, and design stages.
  • Lead technical analysis and resolve queries for contract bid packages, ensuring timely awards and site starts.
  • Act as the Client's Representative, monitoring the Principal Contractor in line with CDM regulations 2015.
  • Oversee civil and electrical aspects during the construction stage, managing onsite contractors to meet commercial contract conditions.
  • Proactively plan and monitor project and contractor programs to ensure key dates or milestones are met.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance, environmental processes, and safety protocols.
  • Liaise with transmission operational staff to support safety and commissioning stages.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Supervisor or Site Manager in the power sector, particularly in transmission overhead line works (132/275/400kV).
  • Strong leadership, planning, and contract management skills, including experience with NEC Option B & EPC contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legislation (CDM, GS6, HSG47, etc.).
  • SP Energy Networks authorizations up to 400Kv.
  • Excellent IT, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • SMSTS certification and First Aid qualification.
