About Us
Leep Utilities is a leader in managing both regulated and non-regulated multi-utility networks throughout the UK. Our operations span notable locations, showcasing our diverse capabilities in electricity, water, and wastewater services, as well as heating and cooling solutions.
As a collaborative effort between Ancala Partners LLP and The Peel Group, we pride ourselves on providing seamless utility connections and possess the necessary licenses to adopt regulated utilities in new developments.
The Opportunity
In the role of Wastewater Infrastructure Site Inspector, you will serve as the primary onsite representative for Leep Utilities, engaging closely with developers and their contractors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the wastewater infrastructure is installed to meet adoptable standards. This position involves significant fieldwork, where you will conduct inspections and surveys of drains and sewers during various construction phases, including pre and post-maintenance stages. You will oversee the adherence to approved plans and identify any defects that need to be addressed.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly document and report any necessary remediation work.
- Support the Wastewater Adoption Managers with onsite inquiries.
- Verify that all wastewater assets are ready for adoption and that asset records are accurately maintained.
- Provide engineering advice and solutions to developers as needed.
- Foster positive working relationships with site agents and ground workers.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- Occasionally assist with operational water site issues, with training provided as necessary.
- Collect and maintain records of water assets in the Leep Utilities Asset Database.
- Ensure that sewer networks proposed for adoption are constructed according to approved designs and comply with the relevant guidance.
- Assist Wastewater Adoption Managers with all onsite queries.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic records of all inspections conducted on site.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings with developers and their contractors.
- Oversee air and pressure testing of sewer networks and pressure pipes to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Independently plan and manage your site inspection schedule to ensure that all construction sites meet the required standards.
- Adapt to changing priorities on construction sites, reprogramming your workload as necessary without needing to consult with management.
About You
- In-depth knowledge of wastewater assets and the design and installation processes is essential.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with mobile applications (e.g., Outlook, Calendar, Messaging, WhatsApp).
- Strong command of English and Mathematics.
- Ability to cultivate strong customer relationships.
- Capable of interpreting and understanding "as laid" drawings.
- A valid driving license is required.
- Experience in drainage infrastructure construction and adoptions is beneficial.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and contractors to resolve engineering challenges.
- Knowledge of Waste Water Pump Stations is advantageous but not mandatory.
