Due to continued growth, IWNL are currently recruiting for a **Head of Water and Wastewater Operations.** Reporting in to the Water Networks Director, you will be responsible for customer focused resilience planning and preparedness for incidents. You will lead a team that responds to reactive asset failures and customer needs via a combination of internal resources, incumbent emergency agreements and / or supply chain partners. You will lead a team that coordinates, plans, schedules and delivers planned audits, inspections and routine maintenance, via supply chain partners and internal resources.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a dedicated individual who thrives in an operational environment and is resilient when faced with challenges. You should have a proven track record of successful leadership and delivery of tactical and operational management. Whilst it is not essential that you have previous experience within the Water industry, if you have worked within another utility or in an asset owning operation in networks, this would be advantageous.

You must have a skillset and accompanying mindset that can lead a busy Operations team effectively and efficiently to successfully meet targets. Being customer focussed and passionate about people is crucial, and you must be able to motivate and empower your team to deliver that same high-quality service.

**Responsibilities will include -**
- Lead and motivate the IWNL Operational teams.
- Tactically run the operational work across BUUK Water and Wastewater networks and operational account management.
- Work closely and support peer Heads of Department within IWNL and the wider BUUK group to ensure operational alignment with Water Compliance and Regulation, and Water Asset Management.
- Empower your team to ensure rehearsed processes are implemented during unplanned events.
- Guarantee audits and network operations are carried out, ensuring compliance with safety rules and operational procedures.
- Promote and encourage team development and employee engagement.
- Play in a crucial role in the growth of the organisation.
- Deputise for the Water Networks Director as required and any other duties as required by the line manager.
