Job Title: Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team in supporting two adults with a rare condition and complex needs in a supported tenancy.

About the Role: As an Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker, you will provide support to adults with autism, dementia, and learning disabilities, enabling them to live their lives as independently as possible. You will work closely with the manager, team, and family members to establish good daily routines, perform personal care, and provide seizure care (training provided).

Responsibilities:

  • Support wheelchair-bound service users, using hoists as necessary
  • Establish and maintain good daily routines and perform personal care
  • Provide seizure care, with training provided
  • Display emotional resilience to support service users with life-limiting conditions
  • Work to a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Keep a positive and friendly attitude, being a supportive presence for service users

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with adults with complex needs
  • Experience in, or prepared to undertake training in PEG feeding, epilepsy, and moving and handling
  • Strong communication skills
  • Registration under the PVG scheme
  • Full driving license (essential)
  • SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (desirable)
