Job Title: Relief Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team at Scottish Borders Council. As a Relief Support Worker, you will provide person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to service users, promoting their health and well-being and ensuring their needs are met in an inclusive way.
  • Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.
  • Administer medication safely and effectively, following relevant training.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a high-quality service that meets the needs of service users.

Requirements:

  • SVQ2 or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • PVG Adults registration is required.
  • Ability to work flexibly and provide cover as needed.
