We are seeking a Highly Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Morgan Ryder in Prescot. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.

Job Summary:

Morgan Ryder is a leading award-winning business with a proven record of business growth and employee satisfaction. We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work on a shift rotation, using your expertise to respond to breakdowns quickly and minimise downtime.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or relevant Engineering qualification. You should also have solid mechanical engineering and fault-finding skills, and experience working with FMCG production equipment.

You will be an independent engineer able to work with minimal supervision, progression-minded and willing to take advantage of training and development opportunities on site. As a team player, you will be happy to be flexible to support the business/ team when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tackle both routine and emergency maintenance for conveyors, sensors, PLCs, pumps, steam generation plants, compressed air systems, shrink wrappers, and palletisers.
  • Use your expertise to respond to breakdowns quickly, minimising downtime and keeping the team moving.
  • Keep all site equipment compliant with HSE standards to create a safe, efficient workplace.
  • Collaborate and improve by working on continuous improvement projects, managing external contractors, and taking the lead on maintenance upgrades.
  • Maintain records and documentation via our CMMS system to track all work and stay aligned with preventive maintenance schedules.
