About the Role:

As a Senior Marine Structure FEA Analyst at Babcock International Group, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of marine structures. Your expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and safety of our marine assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and deliver complex FEA analysis tasks to support product development throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to key customers and stakeholders, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs.
  • Develop and implement analytical methodologies for the optimisation of stress analysis studies, producing justified technical solutions and interpreting analysis results into practical design outputs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of FEA analysis into the design process.

Requirements:

  • Professional expertise, knowledge & experience in FEA.
  • Mechanical or structural experience within ships.
  • Nonlinear analysis experience.
  • Experience in the use and application of ANSYS, LD-Dyna or Altair Hyperworks.

Qualifications:

  • HND/HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Degree level qualification is advantageous.
  • Be a member of a relevant institution (e.g., RINA, IET, IMechE, IMarEst etc.) and hold Chartered status or have a route to Chartership.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
