Babcock International Group is a leading design consultancy providing naval architecture, marine system engineering, electrical engineering, design modelling, and project support services to the marine and defence markets. As a Senior Marine Structure FEA Analyst, you will be part of a national team of over engineers and designers within the Marine Sector.

The Role:

As a Senior Marine Structure FEA Analyst, you will have a role that's out of the ordinary. Day-to-day, you'll:

  • Execute and deliver complex FEA analysis tasks.
  • Use your deep technical knowledge to support product development throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to key customers.
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs.
  • Generate appropriate analytical methodologies for the optimisation of stress analysis studies and produce appropriately justified technical solutions, interpreting, and converting analysis results into practical design outputs.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week, with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential Experience:

The role requires professional expertise, knowledge & experience in FEA. You should have experience in the use and application of ANSYS (preferable), LD-Dyna or Altair Hyperworks (desirable).

Qualifications:

HND/HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline is required. Degree level qualification is advantageous. You should be a member of a relevant institution (e.g., RINA, IET, IMechE, IMarEst etc.) and hold Chartered status or have a route to Chartership.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
