Babcock International Group is a leading design consultancy providing naval architecture, marine system engineering, electrical engineering, design modelling, and project support services to the marine and defence markets. As a Senior Marine Structure FEA Analyst, you will be part of a national team of over engineers and designers within the Marine Sector.

The Role:

You will execute and deliver complex FEA analysis tasks, use your deep technical knowledge to support product development throughout the design lifecycle, provide technical support to key customers, ensure efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs, and generate appropriate analytical methodologies for the optimisation of stress analysis studies.

Essential Experience:

  • Professional expertise, knowledge, and experience in FEA
  • Mechanical or structural experience within ships
  • Nonlinear analysis experience
  • Experience in the use and application of ANSYS (preferable), LD-Dyna, or Altair Hyperworks (desirable)

Qualifications:

  • HND/HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Degree level qualification is advantageous
  • Be a member of a relevant institution (e.g., RINA, IET, IMechE, IMarEst etc.) and hold Chartered status or have a route to Chartership

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
