Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Neonatal Nurse to join our Special Care Baby Unit in Barnstaple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to special care, high dependency, and intensive care neonates.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing, with experience in providing care to critically ill newborns. You will be a natural leader, able to deputise for the Ward Manager and provide clinical leadership to the nursing and wider multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to special care, high dependency, and intensive care neonates

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development of the Special Care Baby Unit and the wider neonatal service
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
  • Experience in neonatal nursing, preferably in a special care or intensive care setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
