Archive Specialist

The Digital Preservation Coalition is seeking a skilled Archive Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our heritage resource centre, you will play a vital role in maintaining and managing our physical archive, conserving documents, photographs, and other historical materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and manage the physical archive, ensuring the long-term protection and preservation of historical documents and materials.
- Record, catalogue, scan, and photograph archive records, entering data into our archive database (AXIELL).
- Populate and update the Chivas Brothers Archive website and microsites using archive records to create historical timelines for brands, distilleries, and facilities.
- Collaborate with departments across the business to respond to requests for heritage creative content, driving innovation and competitive advantage.
- Deliver responses to business needs in a timely manner, working closely with Business Units.
- Leverage digital tools to provide heritage knowledge and education to staff and external partners.
- Conduct historical research using web-based research facilities and provide evidence to support brand claims and intellectual property cases.
- A graduate in archival science, history, library science, or archives and record management.
- Experience in digital archiving (e.g., ADLIB/CALM/AXIELL).
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Organised and able to work independently.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
