Our established team at UHB Neonatal Service is seeking a Neonatal Nurse with a Critical Care qualification to take on the role of Special Care Coordinator.

Main Duties
  • Coordinate care, capacity & flow across Special Care & Transitional Care, collaborating with the nurse in charge of the Neonatal unit.
  • Ensure high-quality care is delivered in line with policies & procedures, maintaining safe practice to protect vulnerable babies & families, adhering to Infection Control, Medicines Management & Infant Feeding standards.
  • Demonstrate positive role modelling, provide support, teaching & provision of pastoral care to enable staff to develop & perform within their scope of practice.
  • Provide supervision during clinical ward rounds to ensure key information is transferred & required care is planned, ensuring discharge planning & safeguarding concerns are managed appropriately & in the best interests of the patient & family.
  • Implement family-integrated care & developmental care.
