Position Overview

Black Country Job Support is seeking a qualified Senior Nurse Manager for our Older Adult Services.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Duties

Enhance and maintain both personal and team clinical competencies, knowledge, and professional practices in accordance with local training frameworks, professional standards, and service requirements, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.

Contribute to the organization’s clinical governance frameworks, upholding quality standards and striving for continuous improvement in clinical and service quality.

Clinical Duties

Serve as a clinically focused Senior Nurse within Inpatient Wards, providing guidance and support while collaborating with Matrons and community specialist nurses. Act as a mentor for junior staff, facilitating the enhancement of their knowledge and skills.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with the 1983 Mental Health Act and engage in clinical supervision as both a provider and recipient.
Take responsibility for maintaining clinical standards in assessing care needs.
Collaborate with ward managers to ensure the effective use of resources to support service delivery.
Uphold CQC standards, infection control protocols, national patient safety standards, and health improvement standards.

Essential Qualifications

A recognized professional healthcare qualification (Nurse) Valid registration to practice Extensive experience in multidisciplinary collaboration
