About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursing Manager to join our team at Voyage Care. As a Deputy Nursing Manager, you will play a key role in leading our residential nursing service in West Bromwich, working closely with our Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of colleagues to support individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, epilepsy, Down's syndrome, and terminal illnesses.
  • Develop and implement person-centered support plans, conducting care needs assessments and recruiting and inducting new colleagues.
  • Complete supervisions, appraisals, medication competencies, and medication audits, as well as attending multi-disciplinary meetings and completing reports.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care management role, with a strong understanding of person-centered support planning.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, epilepsy, Down's syndrome, and terminal illnesses.
  • UK-based nursing qualification and registration with the NMC.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
