High Voltage Electrical Fitter Required for UK Power Network

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrical Fitter to join our team in the southern region of England. This role will involve constructing electrical apparatus within substations on the electricity distribution network from 11kV up to 132kV.
Job OverviewAs a High Voltage Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for safe delivery of construction projects in live electricity substation environments in line with operational safety rules and safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation of fixed relays onto existing relay panels
- Installation and commissioning of CT Metering apparatus
- Act as an ambassador for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks when interacting with external and internal customers to deliver world class customer service and protect the SSE brand
To be considered for this role, we require applicants to have knowledge of the electricity distribution network and experience of working in live electricity substation environments from 11kV - 132kV.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:- Previous experience in working on DC battery systems, internal panel wiring modification, multicore cable terminating and glanding, wiring circuit breakers, CT's/VT's to marshalling kiosks and control panels, AC/DC wiring and replacing 33kV outdoor circuit breakers and isolators
- A high regard for safety, especially on construction sites and CDM regulations with strong customer service skills
- Previous electricity network operational authorisations would be extremely beneficial as would training and qualifications in scaffold, telehandler, furzeweld, working at height, confined space, asbestos, COSHH, Loler and SMSTS
