Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Salary: Circa £52,000 dependant on skills and experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure Project Engineering team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of all engineering aspects of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager in the successful delivery of all engineering aspects of the project
  2. Creating an appropriate Project Engineering Management Plan under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager
  3. Liaising with the relevant Site Engineering Authority (SEA) as required to ensure that all requirements are met
  4. Advising Project Manager on engineering risk, devising a plan to mitigate this risk
  5. Reviewing supplied designs from an engineering perspective
  6. Providing robust engineering assurance of engineering solutions, designs, specifications and instructions and documentation that meet the safety, legal, quality and technical requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner

Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Degree qualified or equivalent experience (electrical/civil/mechanical/nuclear or similar)
  2. Experience of modern engineering techniques within complex, multifunctional organisations.
  3. Experience in setting up Engineering project procedures and processes

Desirable:

  1. Membership of a relevant professional body (registered with the Engineering Council)
  2. Experience of working on complex infrastructure projects
