Job OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified Lead C&I Engineer to join our team based in Pembroke Dock, West Wales. As a Lead C&I Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the C&I team, ensuring technical quality of deliverables, and delivering technical documents in accordance with schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and approve engineering documents, such as calculations, specifications, philosophies, datasheets, and drawings, to ensure compliance with specification and functional integrity.
- Support the preparation and review of drawings, including general arrangements, cables routes, block diagrams, loops sheets, and hook-ups.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Lead on project technical decisions.
- Attend internal and external project review meetings.
- Monitor changes in scope of work and raise change notifications with the Project Manager.
- Input to project plans and schedules and cost estimates.
- Identify the scope of work required to undertake a project and allocate the appropriate C&I resources.
- Estimate deliverables and hours required to deliver a project.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
- Significant, demonstrable experience in detailed design engineering.
- Experience of developing, reviewing, and approving instrument deliverables, such as general arrangements, cables routes, block diagrams, loops sheets, and hook-ups.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems, specification, configuration, and commissioning (preferably Schenieder Triconex &/or Siemens S7).
- Knowledge of industrial communication systems.
- Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
