Job Title: Lead Control and Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at InSite Technical Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the Control and Instrumentation (C&I) team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical documents and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the C&I team and provide technical direction and inputs to team members.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, including calculations, specifications, and drawings, to ensure compliance with specifications and functional integrity.
  • Perform safety-related calculations and provide input to safety reviews, including What If, Hazop, LOPA, and SIL Assessment.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Lead on project technical decisions and coordinate C&I activities with other disciplines.
  • Attend internal and external project review meetings and monitor changes in project scope.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience supporting junior team members and apprentices.
  • Ability to interface and liaise with key client and internal stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in detailed design engineering and knowledge of PLC systems, specification, configuration, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of DCS and SCADA systems, industrial communication systems, and relevant codes and standards.
