Teaching Assistant Opportunity in a Vibrant Primary School

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a 4-form entry Primary school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide support to teachers in the classroom, lead PE activities and lessons, and work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the classroom to ensure effective learning and teaching
  • Lead and teach PE activities and lessons to students
  • Work with students with SEN to provide individualized support and help them reach their goals
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary school
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
  • Experience leading and teaching PE activities and lessons
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives
