We are seeking a talented and motivated teacher to lead our Languages Faculty at Moseley School and Sixth Form.

About the Position:
  • Lead a team of experienced Modern Foreign Languages specialists who share a passion for languages.
  • Foster a school culture that values cultural awareness and appreciation, promoting knowledge of customs, festivals, and traditions in French, Spanish, and Urdu speaking countries.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Support and mentor teachers to improve their teaching practices and contribute to the faculty's success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver engaging curriculum programs that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide professional leadership and management of Languages to ensure high-quality teaching and improved student outcomes.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Identify areas where students need extra support and develop targeted interventions.
  • Nurture relationships with parents, carers, and external partners to promote language learning and cultural exchange.
  • Stay current with curriculum developments, best practices, and research to inform teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Have proven experience in leading or contributing to a Languages faculty, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Understand the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Able to motivate and inspire students, staff, and stakeholders to achieve academic success.
