Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Languages to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading a team of teaching staff and promoting high standards of language education. You will have expertise in one or more modern foreign languages and a passion for inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Lead the languages department, developing and implementing curriculum plans that meet the needs of our diverse student body.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a team of teachers to ensure excellent teaching and learning practices.
  • Maintain relationships with local schools, universities, and language institutions to promote collaborative opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of language programs, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver teacher training and development programs to enhance pedagogical skills.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as linguistics, education, or a related subject.Significant experience in language education, preferably in a leadership capacity.Expertise in one or more modern foreign languages, including French, German, or Spanish.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, students, and external partners.Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from £60,000 to £80,000 per annum, plus benefits including:
