£80,000 - £100,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Senior Strategic Planning Director to lead strategic initiatives across our organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that strategic plans align with long-term goals and are effectively executed throughout the organisation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects, analyse market trends and provide actionable insights to inform high-level decision-making.
  • Overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely completion, within scope and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs). Identifying potential risks and deviations from strategy and working with teams to develop mitigation plans.
  • Conducting ongoing analysis of industry trends, market conditions and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions. Providing data-driven insights to senior management.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to communicate strategic direction, gather feedback and ensure alignment and buy-in for strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluating and refining strategic processes and frameworks to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in strategy development and execution.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in strategy development, public policy, management consulting or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing and executing strategic projects.
  • Understanding of management frameworks and principles.
  • Experience with project management and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to create and analyse financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with others.
  • Report writing skills and experience in developing effective written communications.
