We are seeking a caring and compassionate volunteer to join our London and South East Care Team. As a Family Support Volunteer, you will work closely with families who have children with serious illness, providing emotional support, practical help, and companionship when needed.
Key Activities:
- Social Support: assisting with daily tasks, homework, and educational activities
- Practical Help: housework, shopping, and gardening
- Accompaniment: accompanying families on days out and hospital appointments
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
- Confidence working with children and young people with complex health needs
- Ability to empathise with families in stressful situations
