Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel, Employment Law to join our team at Virgin Media Business Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on employment-related matters, including contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize legal risk and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and business teams to provide support on employment-related issues.
  • Review and advise on employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on employment-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations, and advise the business on any implications.
Requirements
  • Relevant years of working experience in employment law, with a University Master of Law degree.
  • Knowledge and experience of Dutch law required, with some level of experience of cross-border employment and/or European/International employment law desirable.
  • Good knowledge of the law and of other specialist areas within it, and practical legal experience in a business context or a law firm.
  • Experience in providing solid legal support on general policy issues.
  • Good organizational skills, negotiating skills, and social skills in representing interests and providing advisory work.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels and cultural backgrounds in the organization.
  • Writing skills for expressing matters, contracts, reports, etc., in legal terms accurately and inventively.
  • Team player with a hands-on mentality, and experience or ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced organization.
  • Good level of spoken and written English required.
