We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Policy Manager to play a vital role in shaping the future of our borough.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies that support sustainable growth and regeneration, while protecting the environment and preserving the unique character of Cheltenham.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining effective policy frameworks that support economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability
  • Working closely with colleagues across the council to ensure that policy decisions are informed by evidence and best practice
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including community groups, businesses, and partner organizations, to build relationships and secure buy-in for council policies

As a member of our planning team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from urban regeneration initiatives to green infrastructure schemes.

The salary for this role is £47,227 to £52,547 per annum, plus a range of benefits, including 25 days' annual leave, flexible working arrangements, and a contributory pension scheme.
